Visa Information & Letters of Invitation

Some participants coming to the United States from foreign countries may need to apply for a visa at the American Embassy, consulate, or other visa-issuing office in their country of origin. Other visitors from abroad do not need to apply for visas in advance. Please be sure to ascertain if a visa is required for your visit.

If you do require a visa, you can apply for one at the American Embassy, U.S Consulate, or other visa-issuing office in your country of origin. Please begin your visa application in a timely fashion, since some applications can take several months to process. For information on obtaining a visa, go to www.unitedstatesvisas.gov.

Many offices issuing visas require that you present a letter of invitation to the symposium along with your visa application.  Click here to send an email to Deborah Curry, Conference Planning Specialist, requesting a letter of invitation to the 2011 International Society of Anglo-Saxonists Conference.
