Celebrating 50 Years as the Roof for the Wisconsin Idea
In 2008, The UW-Extension Conference Centers celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
Throughout the year a series of special events took place at The Pyle Cente:
- Beginning in April, displays and exhibits were set up to raise awareness and generate interest in the UW-Extension Conference Centers including historical timeline, archival items, and key customer showcase.
- A commemorative program and reception on Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2008 was attended by members of the Board of Regents and other invited guests from the UW System, State Government, and the broader community.
- A second event was held September 25, 2008. All UW-Madison faculty, academic and classified staff are invited.The event took place on The Pyle Center's new Rooftop Terrace, from 3:00 -- 5:30 p.m.
Thank you to all of the supporters and stakeholders who have helped ECC build a solid foundation upon which it can continue to grow. We look forward to the next fifty years with enthusiasm and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
