The J.F. Friedrick Inn and Conference Center

Welcome to The Friedrick Center, one of three University of Wisconsin-Extension Conference Centers.

We provide a quiet, clean, cozy and comfortable retreat setting for continuing education and professional development events. We also provide overnight accomodations to University and State visitors. The Friedrick Center is a pleasant place to stay on the beautiful shores of Lake Mendota. On the west end of the UW campus, we share our shoreline with an adjacent running and bike path, not to mention spectacular views. You can relax whether watching birds at breakfast, sitting by the fireplace, or going right outside our doors to walk, fish, or play.

Our commitment to excellent customer service is the difference. Parking is close. Food is delicious. The rooms are inviting. And the staff always provides that extra personal touch.

Important Note: Due to an increasing need for student housing on the UW-Madison campus, the UW Master Plan calls for The Friedrick Center to close on June 23, 2008 when work will begin to transform the building into an undergraduate residence hall. Although overnight lodging will no longer be available at The Friedrick Center, we invite you to use the excellent guest room accommodations at The Lowell Center.
