Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Extension Conference Centers (ECC)! As members of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I), our goal is to provide you with the best site, set-up, and support possible for your upcoming event. Two facilities, The Pyle Center and The Lowell Center are located less than a block from each other. Host to tens of thousands of visitors annually from around the globe, they offer extraordinary resources designed to serve the University of Wisconsin System, State of Wisconsin agencies, other educational and governmental groups, and qualified nonprofit organizations located throughout the world.

Road Work

Visitors please note there will be several road construction projects in downtown Madison this spring and summer. While access to ECC will be maintained, please allow extra time for possible slowdowns. Visit Downtown Madison Inc.'s Web site for details about construction and for a detailed map.

We're Composting!

The UW Extension Conference Centers have started a composting program for much of our organic food service waste. All biodegradable kitchen scraps, including coffee grounds, are collected from the kitchen each day and deposited into special covered containers which are emptied twice a week by UW staff for transfer to a managed large-scale compost area west of campus. In addition to composting organic material, UWECC has also begun using compostable disposable napkins and cups. Guests of both Centers will be asked to dispose of these items in specially marked bins just as they currently do with recyclable bottles and cans. The UW-Extension Conference Centers have been Travel Green certified venues since 2007, a designation that recognizes tourism related businesses that are reducing their environmental impact through operational and other improvements.

Join us for Second Wednesdays 3:30 - 7 pm on the Pyle Center Rooftop Terrace
