Purpose
The University of Wisconsin-Extension Conference and Distance Education Facilities are dedicated to providing the highest-quality learning environment and support services for educational programs and events hosted by organizations affiliated with the UW System and other educational institutions, as well as federal, state, regional, and local governmental groups, and others who meet the eligibility requirements as described in detail in policy eligibility.
As part of the UW-Extension & UW Colleges, and through close association with UWMadison and other statewide UW institutions, the primary purpose of ECC is to help fulfill the teaching and public service missions of the University by providing:
- Learning environments that are accessible, functional, comfortable, attractive, and competitively priced
- Responsive, customer-oriented staff members who provide:
- Professional assessment of customer needs
- Assignment of meeting rooms, lodging, and all related equipment and services
- Instructional technology and distance education services and equipment from basic to advanced applications
- Food service of high quality, variety, and value
- Contracted conference, meeting, and event planning services
- Registration services
